Cultural Arts – Frisco has grown in many different ways. We have a growing number of parks for our citizens to enjoy and many more are planned. We have an abundance of retail to offer almost anything any of our citizens could want without having to leave Frisco. The number of types of sports complexes we have is also growing as is the amount of office space. The one big crucial thing missing, and something that plays a vital role in the life and well-being of any community centers around cultural arts.

Hall Office Park off of the Tollway is a great example of art in our city. If you walk the grounds or enter any of the buildings, beautiful and interesting artwork is everywhere for our citizens to enjoy. Other places such as Central Park or the Centre at Preston Ridge have bronze sculptures and speak of the history of this area. These types of things need to be greatly expanded upon and I will work to encourage more. The Preston Road Overlay is an example of where sculpture art can possibly be expanded throughout the city by lining parts of Preston Road with different works of art.

I fully support the Arts in Frisco and supported the expenditure of funds to integrate art with every new public facility we build in Frisco.

A major event for this area is the Arts of Collin County project which is a joint effort between Frisco, Plano and Allen to build a 100 acre arts district. This will include a performing arts center, classrooms and more.
