Leadership Frisco As a member of the 2001-2002 Leadership Frisco
class, I have had the unique opportunity to learn so much more about Frisco and
Collin County. This nine-month class includes topics such as social services,
leadership styles, city government and services, education, economic development,
law and order and parks and recreation. The class structure is sponsored by the
Frisco Chamber of Commerce and is designed to produce well-informed and highly
motivated individuals qualified to assume leadership roles in our community.
I would
encourage anybody who wishes to learn more about how our city government
works to go through this program.
In 2006,
the City of Frisco started City Hall 101 which is a similar program to help
citizens get more educated about the inner workings of our local government.
The Fire
and Police departments also offer a citizen's fire academy and a citizen's
police academy respectively, giving citizens the opportunity to learn more
about how our fire and police departments work.
